Jane Simonsen holds a joint appointment in Women & Gender Studies and History. Jane's doctorate is from the University of Iowa in American Studies. She teaches survey courses in American history and upper level courses on the history of marriage and on American women's history. That meshes nicely with her research interests, which are reflected in her book, Making Home Work: Domesticity and Native American Assimilation in the American West, 1860-1920. Jane joined us in 2006.
